Scania’s kick-off
Trucks joint-assembly line is completed
The major phase of works on Scania trucks joint-assembly line placement in St. Petersburg has been brought to completion by A Plus Development, enabling Scania to start trucks’ assembling in a test mode.
In general, within the project works on the reconstruction of premises of around 10 thousand sq.m. in aggregate have been performed:
Among the works carried out are:
- establishment and equipping of additional administrative and service premises;
- adjacent territory and inner warehouse area fencing;
- construction of loading ramps, loading docks;
- crane ways installation;
- installation of additional outer lighting and video surveillance;
- arrangement of compressed air piping;
- installation of a fuel filling station;
- arrangement of a fuels and lubricants storage;
- arrangement of a break tester and exhaust extraction, and others.
Amongst the commissioned technological equipment that is necessary for the assembly line functioning the following reputed producers could be mentioned:
- Konecranes crane equipment;
- Atlas Copco compressors;
- Orion fuel filling station;
- MAHA break tester, and others.
The controlling shareholder of Scania is Volkswagen group. Scania has 4 trucks production centres across the globe – in Sweden, Netherlands, France and Brasil.
